Description
You’re looking at a way to get quicker follow-up shots out of your AR-15 without running a full-automatic firearm. The Franklin Armory BFSIII AR-C1 Binary Trigger changes how your AR cycles, allowing you to switch between safe, semi-automatic, and a binary firing mode. Binary means one shot when you pull the trigger, and another when you release it. That’s useful for targets at the range, or getting faster splits in a competition setting. It’s a pretty common upgrade for AR owners around here.
How it Works
The BFSIII uses a three-position selector, so it drops right into most standard AR-15 lowers. You’ll still use your existing safety selector, but the middle position now gives you the binary firing option. It’s designed to be a relatively straightforward install, but if you’re not comfortable working on firearms, we always recommend having a qualified gunsmith do it for you.
What You Need to Know
- Firing Modes: Safe, Semi-Automatic, and Binary.
- Installation: Drop-in compatible with most standard AR-15 lowers.
- Construction: Made with steel and aluminum components.
- Weight: Around 4 ounces, so it won’t add much to your rifle’s overall weight.
Keep in mind that binary triggers have specific regulations. While legal in Ohio, it’s your responsibility to know and follow all applicable federal, state, and local laws. This isn’t a full-auto conversion, but it functions differently than a standard trigger.
